Home Tutoring vs. Traditional Classroom Learning

  With a traditional classroom setting, education is class-oriented and structured, while home tutoring is more flexible and customized. In a school, the teacher has to follow a rigid system of instruction and consequently must maintain a certain pace to complete the syllabus, thereby leaving slower learners behind and not challenging the advanced ones. Home tuition can thus provide coverage based on where the student stands, speeding things up or slowing them down when needed. The tutor can go back over a confusing concept, explain it, and use teaching strategies better suited to the student's learning style. While some learners find a classroom environment distracting or intimidating, home tutoring creates a calm, welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning.
